Linda McCarthy was born in Seattle, Washington on November 9, 1947.
No formal art training or education.
Has always had a great appreciation and feeling for the arts and is fascinated with the interplay
between form, light and color.
Was introduced to fractal art by a friend in 1995 and searched the internet for anything and
everything she could find out about this unique math art. She was impressed and influenced by
some of the early fractal art masters; ie, Linda Allison, Janet Parke, Sylvie Gallet and many
others. After trying a number of fractal programs, she fell in love with Ultra Fractal and
More recently, Linda has been working in Terragen, a wonderful 3D Landscape program and
has also dabbled in Bryce and MojoWorld, but fractal art remains her first and lasting love in the
digital arts arena.
